Commercial females in demand

Approximately 1100 pure Droughtmaster commercial females went under the hammer at the annual Diamantina Droughtmaster Sale in Winton on 20 May.  Demand was high with buyers coming from across the State and NSW to purchase the females.  Eversleigh presented a draft of 297 head made up of 194 PTIC and 103 chance-mated heifers.

Our 100 red tag (4 months and over) PTIC heifers were snapped up by Jon Warby DOCE “Springwater” Injune for $1240/hd while the blue tag (<4 months in calf) draft were purchased by Wayne and Grant Veivers Rewan Cattle Co Rolleston for $1020/hd.  Rewan also bought a pen of chance-mated heifers for $700/hd.

Our appreciation also goes to the other buyers of our chance-mated heifers – Bill Chandler “Hillalong” Barcaldine, JSF Nominees “Goolma” Winton and Boo Robinson Kanari Holdings Boulia.

Thank you to auctioneers Beau Frame Landmark and Tim Salter Elders.
