As with any beef breeding operation, it is important to us that we regularly improve the bloodlines of our herds. Having two separate studs has enabled us to "mix and match" the sires that we have bred ourselves.
We also attend a number of bull sales held throughout the State to ensure that we are always upgrading our genetics. Below is a pictorial of some of our Sires over the years that have been used over our Stud and Commercial herds. All current joining Sires of the Eversleigh & Wallace Vale herds are tested as Myostatin (double muscling gene) non carriers and tested Pompes free.
- Glen Fosslyn Jigsaw was purchased for $10 000 from the annual Glen Fosslyn Sale in Roma in September 2016 and has gone on to be one of our most influential sires.
- At the Alma Droughtmaster Stud Dispersal Sale held in Dalby in early November 2016 we purchased Alma Tawny for $32 000. (Straws available)
- At the 2023 National Bull Sale Redskin Outlander was purchased for $42 000. (Straws available)
- We added Calco Honky Cat (Needmore Hyatt) to the stable in 2024 for $44 000. (Straws available)
- Home bred Sire Wallace Vale Bacardi (Jembrae CJ) has had a great influence to our female herd. (Straws Available)
- Tomawill Felix was purchased at the 2020 Bunya Bull Sale for $19 000. (Straws Available)
- Mungalla 4480 (Graham) was purchased at the 2023 Mags Sale for $ 30 000.
