The Eversleigh commercial herd is based on strict guidelines which require the cows to be fertile, demonstrate good mothering traits and have good temperament. In the early years the herd was influenced by bloodlines sourced from Telemon, Lisgar, Mungalla, Strathfield and Kengoon. During the 90s we introduced sires from studs including Bernborough, Glen Ruth, Minlacowie and Wallace Vale.
We are constantly on the lookout for new sires which will not only complement our existing herd, but will improve the genetics already established.
In recent years we have sourced sires from Rondel, Jembrae and Angle Zed – these bulls have enabled us to breed our own bulls to run with the commercial cows.
